Opening of International Sports Games under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee and UNESCO – “Children of Asia 2012”

On Thursday, 5.07.2012, the 5th International Sports Games “Children of Asia“ were opened in Yakutsk. These competitions have been held every four years since 1996.
The program of the competitions includes 20 disciplines. Sport Line has provided the Games with sports equipment practically for all competitions in all of these disciplines. The specialists of Sport Line have also installed timing and scoring systems by Swiss Timing in two swimming pools (a 25-meter pool and the newly built 50m Olympic swimming pool “Cholbon”).
The sports games “Children of Asia” will be held in three cities of Yakutia – Mirny, Neryungri and Yakutsk. More than 3 thousand athletes from 28 states of the Asia-Pacific region, as well as from 10 regions of the Russian Federation, will participate in this tournament. “Today the International Sports Games “Children of Asia” have become a brand of international level", said the head of the Ministry of Sport of Russia Vitaly Mutko.
